Essen, born in 1982 and grew up in the heart of the Ruhr, now living on the quiet Lower Rhine.
Marcel Hoffmann came to art late. He dedicated his life to competitive sports for a long time, including motorcycle racing, where he contested the German and European championships.
In 2019 he discovered an Iwata airbrush and a book from his father from 1980. That was the moment his ambition was aroused. After a lot of reading and several videos on the internet, he was ready to make his first attempts with airbrush technique. He was amazed of how easy this worked for him, even though he had never painted a picture in his life before.
He is interested in photo realism and he loves the attention to detail in his pictures. “I always try to improve from picture to picture in order to get the perfect picture for me one day.”
