Volodymyr Kovalenko (Patisson Art)
Airbrush Artist | Szczecin, Poland
I was born in Ukraine in 1988. Since childhood, I’ve been passionate about art and graduated from a local fine arts school. Traditional drawing techniques always felt too limited to me — I was constantly looking for something more expressive and exciting. One day, I saw an artist using an airbrush to paint on a car during a TV program, and from that moment on, I knew I had found my path. Since 2007, airbrushing has become my life’s calling.
In 2015, I moved to Poland, and since 2017 I’ve been living and working in Szczecin. I specialize in custom painting of motorcycles, cars, helmets, and commissioned artworks. My main technique is freehand airbrushing — no stencils, no limits. I work with whatever tools I have at hand, letting creativity guide the process.
My work has been exhibited internationally, including at the SEMA Show in the USA. I collaborate with leading brands such as Anest Iwata Polska and KOVAX Polska. One of my most memorable projects was painting a custom car hood with a portrait of the legendary Polish race driver Sobiesław Zasada for the grand opening of Porsche Centrum Szczecin. Mr. Zasada himself attended the event and signed the finished piece — an unforgettable moment.
Since 2019, I’ve been teaching airbrush techniques through private one-on-one lessons, with a strong focus on developing precise control and personal style. In 2024, I was honored to be invited as a guest instructor at the Airbrush Camp in Germany, which brought a wave of new energy and inspiration into my work.
In my projects, I use a wide range of professional materials, including Createx paints, which allow me to explore bold concepts and achieve stunning results.
The name Patisson Art carries deep personal meaning. It comes from my childhood friend Ivan, who sadly passed away. “Patisson” was his nickname. After his death, I adopted it as my artist name to keep his memory alive. Everything I create is a tribute to our friendship — it’s my way of making sure he’s still here, living through my art.
“Painting is how I say what I can’t put into words. It reflects my inner world, my memories, and emotions. For me, it’s about freedom, feeling, and keeping stories alive.”
